Shipping and Returns

Delivery will take place in the areas and according the time periods and prices specified in the delivery request available on the site from time to time. The delivery periods are given as estimates only and we will not be held liable if the delivery is delayed for whatever reason.

All the risks in the product will pass to you when the product is delivered to you but the ownership in the product will only pass to you once you have paid the purchase price for the product.

Payment Options
The following payment options are available when ordering from The Lifestyle Cafe:

Internet/Bank Transfer – Payment can be made by doing an internet transfer or direct bank deposit. Your order will only ship/be available once payment has been received.

Credit card Payment – Visa & Mastercard

Cash on Collection – If you are collecting the order, you may elect to pay for it when you pick it up. Please see our contact details for our address.

Shipping Options

The following shipping options are available when ordering from The Lifestyle Cafe:

Customer Collection – Orders can be collected from us at the premises of The Lifestyle Cafe. There is a R10.00 handling fee. Please Note that you will receive an email notifying you that the order is Ready for Pickup. Please do not try to collect the order before you have received this mail.

Post Office – “EconoParcel” – Normal post office mail, counter to counter, in South Africa. Delivery will take 7 business days after parcel has been dropped off at Post Office. Parcel must weigh less than 1kg and measure no more than 458mm x 324mm x 100mm. The cost is R25.00 plus an optional insurance of 2% of declared value with a minimum of R20.00. Insured parcels are insured against loss and damage during transit. Please note the The Lifestyle Cafe can not take responsibility for parcels once they enter the postal system, so we advise you to always insure your parcel.

Post Office – “ParcelPlus” – Normal post office mail, counter to counter, in South Africa. Delivery will take 7 business days after parcel has been dropped off at Post Office. This applies to parcels that do not meet the “EconoParcel” requirements. The cost is R35.00 for the first kg plus R3.50 for each additional kg. There is an optional insurance of 2% of declared value with a minimum of R50.00. Insured parcels are insured against loss and damage during transit. Please note the The Lifestyle Cafe can not take responsibility for parcels once they enter the postal system, so we advise you to always insure your parcel.

Speed Services Couriers – “Counter to Counter” – Your parcel is delivered by 10:30am the day after we have handed it over to the courier company, to the Post Office linked to the postal code in your shipping address. This delivery method is far more reliable than standard mail but more expensive. Exact pricing will be given on checkout.

Please also not the following:

All shipping options (except Customer Collection) incur a R3.50 handling fee to cover packaging.

100g is added to the weight of your order when checking out to allow for the weight of the packaging. In other words, if you order 900g of goods, the shipping costs will be calculated on 1000g

All purchases are packed in brown/white padded envelopes.
Tracking your Order

Post Office – With each order you will receive a Tracking Number. This number can be used on the Post Office Tracking System to track your order.

Speed Services Couriers – With each order you will receive a Tracking Number. This number can be used on the Post Office Tracking System to track your order. If you experience problems tracking using the website, you can request tracking information by dialing Speed Services Customer Services Department on 0860 023 133

Refunds

Pre-packaging cancellations

You are entitled to cancel (either in whole or in part) any sale prior to packaging the products so sold.

Cancellations can be effected via The Lifestyle Cafe (at +27 21 556 9688) or online on your ‘my orders’ webpage (it being recorded that in the latter instance, the functionality for cancelling any sale will only be available for so long as you are entitled to cancel same).

If timeously cancelled as aforesaid, you will be fully refunded in respect of such cancelled sale (including delivery charges), without any administrative charges being payable; provided that, should a sale only be partially cancelled and delivery charges as re-calculated on the value of the revised order exceed the delivery charges as calculated on the original order, you shall be liable for the amount of such excess.

Defective / damaged products

  • Please note:the following will NOT be regarded as defects and will not entitle you to any repair, replacement or refund:
    • faults resulting from normal wear and tear;
    • encoding on DVD’s not being compliant with your zone (save where the encoding was incorrectly specified in the relevant product description).

 

Certain product types which have been opened

Once opened, the following types of products will not be accepted for a refund and will only be replaced with another copy of the same product: CDs, Videos, DVDs, audio tapes, computer software, games and printer consumables.

Please note that refunds will only be refunded into the party’s account that has paid for the product.
