In classical tradition, yoga is practiced very slowly, using breath to stretch and relax into the postures. Therefore, gentle, smooth, calm music compliments the whole of yoga practice, not just the physical aspect, but also the breathing, visualisation and relaxation techniques, for the postures are but one branch of the whole way of yoga. It is well known that beautiful music can reach the inner person, this also happens with the practice of yoga which becomes a way of life to many.
