Olgani believes that efforts to discourage sugar over-consumption should begin in childhood. Stimulation of the tastes, other than the taste for sugar, should begin in the early years, particularly because children have taste buds in more areas in the mouth than adults.

A child’s sense of taste is more sensitive and therefore continuous exposure to sweetness may lead to avoidance of other tastes and have bad consequences for overall health. Simple sugars, due to their powerful effect on the reward centres of the brain, function similarly to drugs of abuse like cocaine and nicotine and result in cravings and addiction.

With this in mind Olgani has developed new toothpaste for children age 2 and up.

Olgani Fruity Orange Kids Toothpaste contains Xylitol and Liquorice extract due to its beneficial properties in oral care and not to enhance the taste of the product. Olgani Fruity Orange Toothpaste is somewhat fruity, salty and herbal tasting, and is only sweet looking.

Directions for use
Use a pea-sized amount on the toothbrush — gently brush in circular motion over teeth and gums. Use twice a day, preferably after a meal and before bedtime. To minimize swallowing, supervise and instruct children less than 3 years of age. Children under 1 years of age: consult a dentist or physician.

Adult supervision is recommended for guidance in establishing good brushing habits.

Olgani Fruity Orange Kids Toothpaste is entirely natural, contains no artificial ingredients and is free of the following:
